Vanity Buying Guide
Selecting the right vanity is a crucial step in creating a stylish and functional bathroom. Here are some key factors to consider:
Measure carefully to ensure your vanity fits comfortably in the space. Consider the width, depth, and height, as well as how much storage you’ll need day to day. Leave enough clearance for doors and drawers, and ensure the vanity doesn’t crowd nearby fixtures like toilets, tubs, or walls. A well-proportioned piece should feel integrated—not cramped or oversized.
Choose a vanity style that supports the overall look and feel you want for your space. Are you building the room around a standout piece, or looking for something that blends into an existing design? Our collections include modern, traditional, and transitional styles—available in a range of finishes to suit your palette.
VANITY & COUNTERTOP
Decide on the materials that best fit your needs and aesthetic preferences. Common choices include solid wood or engineered wood for the base, and stone, solid surface, or composite for the countertop. Solid surface and composite materials offer a uniform look and easy upkeep, while stone—such as marble, granite, or quartz—adds natural variation, weight, and long-term durability
SINK
Sinks may be integrated—formed from the same material as the countertop for a seamless, non-removable surface—or made as separate components mounted into place. Common materials include ceramic, porcelain, glass, stone, and vitreous china. Ceramic and porcelain are durable and easy to clean, while vitreous china adds a glass-like enamel coating for extra stain and scratch resistance. Glass and stone offer a more distinctive look but may require more care.
Think about what you reach for every day—skincare, hair tools, extra towels—and how you like to keep things organized. Do you need cabinet doors for concealed storage, deep drawers for bulkier items, open shelves for easy access, or a mix of all three? Some vanities also include adjustable or removable shelving, offering flexibility as your needs evolve. Choose a layout that balances storage and accessibility, whether it’s supporting one routine or several.
Vanities can be sold as complete sets or as separate pieces. Some include a countertop, sink, faucet, or backsplash—others are just the cabinet or top. If the countertop is pre-installed, check whether it’s pre-drilled for faucets or sinks. Faucet compatibility depends on the number and spacing of holes, so make sure the configuration matches what you plan to install. Always confirm what’s included before you buy, especially if you’re coordinating across collections.
Think about how and where the vanity will be installed—and how much time or help you have. Freestanding styles are typically easier to set up, especially if they arrive fully assembled. Wall-mounted vanities can create a lighter, more open look but often require reinforced walls and professional installation. Consider your layout, your timeline, and how permanent you want the setup to feel. All vanities we currently offer are freestanding and ship fully assembled, ready to place.
